Ash is a former park ranger and the founder of Dirt In My Shoes, a popular website for helping families plan trips to the National Parks.
Answering visitor questions, providing ranger-led tours and evening programs, and patrolling hiking trails were all a part of Ash's day-to-day life while working as a park ranger in Wyoming, Utah and Alaska.
Ash fell in love with the National Parks at a young age and has been obsessed ever since! She started Dirt In My Shoes to help families spend quality time together, unplugged, in spectacular places.
At almost any given time, you'll find Ash, her husband, and two young kids out in the National Parks having adventures. Hiking and skipping rocks in a lake are some of their family favorites.
She believes that if people have amazing experiences in the National Parks (including seeing the best sights, avoiding the crowds and getting off-the-beaten-path), they'll fall in love with these beautiful parks and have a desire to protect the land for future generations.
